Can someone measure the dimensions (total length, length of the slot, beginning of the slot) of the upper alternator adjuster brace (69, wo PS, Big Block)?
I am in doubt if my brace is to short or the wrong one?! (Pic)

my aim (1970)shows part #3881816 for a sb, and 3919886 for a bb. the pics look the same in the book, but there must be a difference. also the diagrams in the aim seem to show the brace attached at the bolt hole on the head, not the w/p. see page ls5-a8. can't help beyond this.

that's a good point! And you are right Didn't noticed it before (or read the wrong AIM page).
But my brace will then not line up with the alternator mounting hole - I will check it.
