rapid fire AC plugs
My car runs alittle rich at idle and black smoke at kick down,with a 350 cid,650 DP,RPM intake ,slighty lopy cam and ram horn dual exaust and an Accel super coil,993 heads 9.1 comp.
The carb has factory jets and power valves picked with a vacuum gauge.
Would rapid fire plugs help get rid of the rich condition?
If so what #.
Or do i need a MSD 6a box? or some other fix?

Going to a hotter heat range might help compensate some for the idle richness but it would only be a band-aid for the real problem. Idle mixute can be adjusted with the screws but it also sounds like you carb is jetted rich and needs to be re-jetted. When you floor it, your DP carb's accellerator pumps are giving twice the fuel of a single pump carb and if the rpms aren't increasing fast enough, the extra raw gas will give that black cloud. If the black exhaust continues beyond the initial opening of the secondaries, the problem is likely in the jetting.
