Under hood paint

Under hood paint
For all the satin black under the hood (suspension, frame, power steering pump, etc...) what is the most durable? Should I use rattle cans or buy 2 part paint (Omni etc.) and some flattener? I am looking for something that looks professional.
Thanks

The durability of paint is more in the cleaning and preparation of the surface and allowing adequate time to completely dry, than who manufactured it. Krylon semi-flat black works very well.

Hi 71W,
I agree with 7T1.
Krylon #1613 is a good choice for semi-flat black. I like the look but also you can touch it up very easily if you need to with out leaving a 'ghost' ring around the touched up area.
In Maryland you can only find #1613 in Commercial paint stores now, not in W-mart, etc. as use to be the case.

Alan

My problem is that I live in California and all the good rattle can paint is gone. I go to Arizona to visit friends about 4 times a year and buy paint there. Even the house paint is better in Arizona!!
