hey all, i am looking for something to deliver at least 40PSI of oil pressure, it needs to run off of 12 volts, and be cheap, what do you all think, would an electric fuel pump hold up to pumping oil? any other suggestions? thanks,

what i think is that the electric fuel pump motor would not have enough "A$$" (hp) to get your oil to 40 psi; just a guess. since the higher viscosity oil requires more motor not available in the fuel pump, the fuel pump motor would have a life too short-

maybe add some info about the application for better response . . .

The fuel pump won't be able to push enough volume. It probably won't be rated for the heat. Oil gets up to 250 F.

I have been using a 35psi fuel pump for my turbo feed and I just use 0w40 motor oil and it works great so far
