600+ cubic inches ?
Does anyone have experience with 600+ cubic inch engines in C3's ? Where would you start if you were interested ?

I have a 540 in my 69 which can be bored to a 632
The 540 is way too much motor for the car but I just happened to have one sitting in the garage so in it went
You plan on racing it?

Thats not exactly true. You are short 1/2" of stroke as well (4.25 vs 4.75)
600 cu in is going to require a tall deck block, which makes it a bit tougher to get everything to fit.
Are you sure a nice low deck 572 wouldnt make you happy?

I have had a 632 and 706 on the street(not in a corvette), if for nothing else the awwww factor is a great reason to do it.. My 66 I haven't decided on building a big cube small block or a big cube big block, i have a tall deck small block that will go to 540

I have a 598ci in my yellow '81 drag car. Definately alot of motor. But the car was built to handle it. In a street car, good luck. Maybe tone down the cam and compression, but it would still be a beast. At the very least, you're looking at $12k - $15k for a complete motor that big. I have built several so I know exactly what goes into them. Not to mention the money it would take to make the car capable of handling the power...

We built one for a buddy's C-3 project. It was a pump gas 632 designed for cross country running and racing like Drag Week and Power Tour. We detuned the cam a lot so it wouldn't have any trouble. We also did it so it could rev well past peak HP even with the smaller cam. It made 875-890Hp range on 93 octane. The heads were pretty small for it..but again it was designed with real street use in mind rather than peak HP.
It was just a cam and intake change away from 950+ HP even with the heads it had.
The engine ended up being sold to a Forum member in Ark. last summer for his C-3 project along with one of our favorite dana 60 IRS setups.
If you want to see another fun 632" project..do a search here on 632C2. That's another killer one but it uses Big Chief heads and nitrous!

Boring alone won't get you to 632. You'll still need 1/2" more stroke.

And a tall-deck block. The most you can get out of a short-deck is 582ci. 4.600" bore and 4.375" stroke. You may get a little more if you bore it to 4.625" but that would max out the block which would not be the smart thing to do. 582 would be the max I'd go in a short-deck. I've built 3 of those for bracket racing and it's a great combo.

Found the paper work I had on the block when I bought it about 5 years ago.
On it max cubic inch is 632, BUT I did not see that its a generic sheet that is describing the Dart 9.8 AND the Dart 10.2 Tall block

Here are the specs on my cam which was designed for my jet boat and a blower. It made over 1200hp on 110 octane with 9 psi boost pushed the boat over 120mph on the water at 6700rpm
I left the cam in for the 69 vette cause it only had about 15 hours of use, it might not be the ideal cam for the street but it sure goes

Motor has the billet main caps, ARP bolts,Dart pro1 aluminum 325cc heads (as cast) with inconel exhaust valves, titanium retainers, comp pro magnum roller rockers, Victor jr. intake port matched with a quickfuel 850, MSD ignition hooker jet hot side pipes with 2.5 sweet thunder inserts
