Default Y pipes or dual???

I got multiple question for u guys.... HELP HELP HELP

my 1978 corvette got a stock y pipes. Should i stick to Y pipes or should i make it to dual???? and if i get any one of them what size pipeing should i get???????

So i guess im getting another cat converter so smog will not be an problem if I get dual.Also im thinking of getting spintech or flowmaster mufflers (let me know what you guys think spintech?? or do u guys advice other mufflers.) i want my corvette so sound very scary and agressive

i have a 2.5" dual exhust cut off at collectors with flowmaster 40's h pipe $50 + shipping. i need bigger
