Carb linkage question

Carb linkage question
I took some time off to try to finish up my build that was started in my last life. 
I am using the Holley Street Avenger carb, with the factory linkage. I have the bracket already attached, but I want to make sure that both cables are located correctly.
I am pretty sure that the lower stud is for the throttle cable, although the stud is too wide, and the plastic sleeve doesn't let the throttle open all the way. I think I have to order a narrower stud and cut off the plastic sleeve.
However, I am not exactly sure where the kickdown cable goes. Does it go on the second stud that I have circled? Also, does the cable mount somewhere to keep it from moving all over?

So I have them switched around?
If the throttle stud is on the upper one, I am not sure how to mount the cable because the upper stud is closer to the carb itself. The adapter bracket lines it up right with the lower one.

Comparing the new carb to the old one, I now think that the kickdown cable goes on the bottom of the bracket (where I have the springs located). It just does not have a stud there yet.
