No the AN-8 doesn't have baffle or anything on the inside of the tank on the return.

I really like the rear end pic of your 65 roadster. Tried to find other pics. Do you have a site with more pics you could refer me to?

Thanks

Doug

Sorry I haven't called you back yet! I stored the number....just haven't stopped long enough to be sociable!

I'm in Columbus Indiana this week at meetings with Cummins engine Co.

Work keeps cutting into my play time!!

But hey Doug....I did get a couple of confirmations on our latest work being done today! More to come!

You guys are going to like this buildup....Doug is just showing you the tip of the iceberg!

That will be a screamer!!

However, what's the deal with the mechanical fuel pump?? Shouldn't you be using a electrical pump with that kind of power?

I am sure Doug or Jim will chime in but the mech pumps will support a huge amount of HP today and are way more dependabale and cost less. I know guys in drag boats running 800hp with Clay Smith mech pumps. In previous pics Doug does show an elec. pump so not sure what they have up their sleeve.....

That's just setup for the engine break-in. A lot of those parts you see in the picture won't make it into the final engine configuration into "Bruiser". Jim used a break-in stand that I used from one of our buddies in our club:

Yep.....mechanical pump is for test stand. If you read above you'll see Doug has a full Aeromotive fuel system on the car

The Demon carb was used to fire it since I didn't have enough fittings to hook the Holley to the mechanical pumps lines and the Demon has the weird fittings. But it was great for test firing. The valve covers in the picture rubbed on the shaft rockers slightly, so I pulled covers off my car to run on it while breaking in cam. The electric water pump drive was the one I use on mine at the track.

That intake is getting some special surgery right now.

As I said...you guys are going to like all the info that comes out of this build!

If I don't get this thing on the dyno soon...there won't be enough parts to keep my car running!!

More to come.......

If we don't get it on a dyno soon, I will have to use a sawzall and some rattle cans of paint to get the car ready for BG.

Yes have Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump and matching regulator. Plenty of fuel and fuel pressure when the time comes!

Denis, you should probably be told that in the last two days we have been talking about putting a Cummins diesel in Jim's 66...we like the videos from the tractor pulls and thought they show promise!

Pictures of progress tomorrow everyone. Sorry for the delays.

Yep. I am going to paint calipers tomorrow. Will also call you about fuel line fittings to reorder what I lost. Let me know when you can come in. Tue works for me.

As promised, pics of the rear.

Car's a little light in it's shoes at the moment...no motor, no interior, no gas but you can see we will need some flare work.

Mike did a nice job on those trailing arms - they look perfect

What is the offset of your rims? Who will be installing the flares?
