Default Steering shaft wobble

So, while I am waiting for my bonus money to come, I thought I would take apart the old tilt/tele steering column on my '69 project. It's going well, except one thing; I noticed that when I spin the shaft very fast several turns, there is a slight hint of a wobble at the bottom. Is this a deal-killer or no big deal? As best as I can tell, the car was hit in the front but on the passenger side. If at all possible, I'd like to salvage the old column, but need to know if such a wobble is that bad. All told I would say the wobble is about 1/16" - 1/8" total turnout.

Oh, I should also probably mention that ultimately I am planning to install a Steeroids or Rack-Attack kit.

Thanks,
