1970 LS-5, 1971 LS-5, 1972 LS-5--??????
Is there a chart somewhere that explains all of the designations? (LS-6, LT-1, L-88, etc. etc.) I know that a 1970 LS-5 is different from a 1971 LS-5 and I am not sure of the 1972 LS-5. And I know that there quite a few others. I think it was Ganey who said "it's nice to know everything you can about your passion"--and I would like to know.

I have never seen a chart, but the Black Book includes basic info for each year and engine:
1970 LS-5: 454 cid / 390 hp
1971 LS-5: 454 cid / 365 hp
1972 LS-5: 454 cid / 270 hp
Etc.
