Default lt1 92 conversion coolant/flow/radiator question

...to anyone that has done one of these conversions...i know the newer lt1s are reverse cooling ,internel....but just to make sure, will my aluminum (c3)radiator that iv been running with my 77 350 still work.??.is the flow the same??does the lower/passenger side hose of the c3 radiator go to the lt1 thermostat as the inlet,or the other way...in other words other than the mods that have to be made to make fit ,do the hoses go in the same way/location....thanks

Does the LT1 set-up have the upper rad hose fitting going to the intake?

I dont think for rad efficiency it would matter what direction of flow the coolant has. I would beware of the hose set-up as the lower hose has a coil in it to keep the old SBC suction side of the waterpump from collapsing the hose.

It may be you have to work around that for the upper hose now or use the flex metal upper hose so you dont have to worry about suction-collapse.

my .02 with ZERO experience in this matter..........
