Default LC3 Northstart in a C3

Any C3's with a supercharged Cadillac LC3 Northstar? (Oops, typo in the post Subject.)
I like the specs:
LC3 @ crateenginedepot.com

wt hp torq
575 330 380 GM 350 HO Turn-Key
467 469 439 LC3 Northstar
----------------------------------
-108 +139 +59

It would cost >$12 grand with controller and all, but other engines with that kind of power and torque are going to be up there too.

Default Pontiac 400/400thm

I think I'm going to do it. I already have a strong Pontiac 400 and a built Turbo 400 that came out of my 70 GTO/LeMans when I went to a 455/700r4 combo, and a 69 vette without either.

That's the dinkum oil. The silver coupe Banshee XP-833 pictured had an inline six. There was a white convertible built with a V8.

Put Pontiac heads on your Chevy engine .. Best of both worlds ( it is real and is more common the some may think)

We called it a 'Cammer Six' back when.....was dating a school teacher back in '67, she had the OHC six in her Lemans....damn rare engine today.....Pontiac heads will fit on a old Olds block, but you going back some decades now....they will NOT bolt to a SBC period, I have never owned a BBC, believe it or not, so not familiar with them....

So you newbies have to know that GM stopped production on most division's engines, and put what is essentially Chevy engines in ALL the cars across the lines, this starting in '80.....'79 Firebirds saw the last deliveries of Pontiac engines, actually left over production from '78,.....after that ALL the lines used Chevy engines, except Caddy, obviously.....

by time 700 r4 transmissions came out it was all Chevy bolt pattern on the bell housing, I would be surprised if any of them actually would bolt up to the BOP engines, the two bolts at the bottom of the bell housing would bolt up, I AM TOLD, but the 4 other bolts up top will not.....at least the guide pins will line up....

As I recall, weren't there some law suits back then when people thought they were buying better quality cars/engines, Pontiac, Olds, Buick, etc., and it turned out to be across the board GM engines that were used in Chevys?

Default A body

In the early 70's you could buy a kit to install a chevy SB or BB into any GM A body. I helped my friend install an LS6, which he bought over the counter for $1200, into his 66 GTO. The kit came with a headers and motor mounts. The car was scary fast to drive. My 65 GTO had a 327 in it before I bought it. I have never heard about a kit that would allow the installation of a Pontiac into a c-2 or c-3. Jerry
