I don't think she actually does make one for a C-3, but we talked about different materials, etc. I had to take some pix of my L-88 hood to send her. Haven't done that yet, but I will soon. I have had other priorities on the car come up, as usual.
My 1970 had no insulation and no provision for it. The inside was painted black. I briefly had decals from each state that I had visited attached inside but time and temperature affected them. The decals were removed and it was returned to original. The 1970 has lots of miles including a trip through Death Valley (I did add an oil cooler) with no heat related problems. My 1973 came with insulation but it was removed. Having both, I think engine noise suppression was the main reason. The 73 is yellow. I am thinking of painting the inside like the Bad Boy Vette logo at left. It will have to be painted as the cold-air induction does not allow a full liner from Paula.

I have a '73 with no hood insulator. I did buy a guard for the A/C compressor. The theory is that it prevents compressor oil from being slung onto the hood, absorbed by the fiberglass and migrating to the paint. I don't know if that's true but I have a $12,000 paint job on the car and I'm not taking any chances.
I bought a hood insulator and 11 fasteners that have to be glued onto the hood but I haven't put it on yet and I've had it a year. I just don't want to glue 11 fasteners to the underside of freshly painted the hood.
Paula can do a design on just about any set up. You just gotta have the right material. For that matter, I might just paint my L-88 hood with Leopard Skin(inside of hood) and air brush it. Don't know yet.

Don't think the material in a replacement insulator would be suitable for paint/air brush.
See new thread for details.
Mkay. Neither one involves the underside of a hood. Instead of being an ***, why don't you show me an example of oil ruining a hood?
you need to put your manners back in. 1arace gave you the links to where people have had trouble with contaminated fibreglass. then you still had the hide to argue about it. if you want to hold up the BS flag then make sure what someone has said is 100% BS unless you can back it up and i havent seen that yet. just swollow your pride and accept it happens. i have had exactly what 1Arace has said but with a door. exactly the same thing with bubbles in the paint from wd40 being sprayed on the inside. if its possibly for it to happen with a door then it can happen with a hood . i do not have a hood liner but i did paint the underside .
