Hi Przemek
We have had a look further into this for you and we donāt think it will work with your car if it has a stock hood if you can call me on 01234 220700 or pop in if you can I will show you in the catalog.
Regards,
Paul

As you can see i dont know what i have to do so that why i would like to ask someone who allready installed this kit in your car so i will be 100% sure of my choice
Regards
Przemek.

With a suitable drop base air cleaner the Edelbrock Air gap manifold will fit - that's what I have on mine.

Just don't expect to get those HP and torque numbers with an otherwise stock engine. Those numbers were obtained using an engine with a 9.5:1 compression ratio. Stock CR is closer to 8:1 unfortunately.

the RPM air gap will not fit the stock hood see below pasted from Edelbrock site
RPM AIR-GAP (1500-6500 rpm)
The Original... Our Proven, Race-Winning Air-Gap Design in a Dual-Plane Manifold
Designed for 1955-86 262-400 c.i.d. Chevrolet V8s, the award-winning RPM Air-Gap incorporates the same race-winning technology that's used on our Victor Series competition intakes. The air-gap design features an open air space that separates the runners from the hot engine oil resulting in a cooler, denser charge for more power. Includes rear water outlets, two distributor clamp locations and nitrous bosses. Accepts all 1976 and later alternator and A/C brackets for the street. The heater outlet boss is angled for proper fit over the valve cover. The temp sensor boss clears all waternecks. For square-bore carburetors only. No provision for exhaust-heated chokes and no exhaust crossover. Not for 1987 and later cast iron heads and will not fit under stock Corvette hood. Available with standard finish, polished or EnduraShine for a look you've got to see to believe, see Optional Finishes.

I don't know what HP you would get with stock CR and the kit. Maybe someone with Desktop Dyno could plug in the components and get a number for you.

If you are going from the stock 76cc heads to 64cc Edelbrock heads, with a .015 in compressed thickness head gasket, you will end up with approx. 9.5/1 static compression ratio

If you have an L-82 your intake will work fine with that package, more important is to have the shortblock checked, maybe a leak down test to make sure the bottom end is solid before redoing the top end?

FYI

Stock 78 L82, you have a 9.0:1 compression ratio = 220 hp

I put the Edelbrock 435hp/435 tq crate engine in my '71, which has that same top end, and had to go to the L-88 hood. Don't know if that helps?

The Performer RPM manifold is the same exact design as the LT-1's.. The Performer RPM Air-Gap manifold is not any taller than the regular Performer RPM manifold. Yes, you can get it to fit under your hood. Before I yanked my L82 out, it had the Performer RPM manifold, along with the L88/LT1 style drop base air cleaner and a 4 in. element. If you have a pre-'73 hood, you can get by with a 3 in. element, but since you have a '78 hood I say go with the 4 in. As for the kit, I'm sure it is great! My dad has the Perfromer RPM flat tappet power package on his and absolutlely loves it! I liked it so much that I went that route for my 461".

Edelbrock is wrong (as usual). RPM Air Gap will fit with a drop base aircleaner. I use the Moroso Low Profile Racing Aircleaner and with a 3" filter, I still have 3/4" of clearance with the stock hood.
