Any trick to removing speedo cable at the trans??
Ok, I know it just screws on....
But my hand will not fit in that hole, and I'm having no success with channel locks.
Any tricks to pulling the cable?? Need to change my speedo gear.
200-4R but just like the TH400....
Thanks!

My experience was this: a super greasy, oily, slick cable.
I used the channel locks but the secret is not to squeeze the pliers too hard. Rotate, dont squeeze.
Also, take a rubber band or rubber glove and wrap it around the pliers or cable for traction.
Lastly, the bolt to the side holding the gear in- if you look at it funny, you will strip the threads. When reinstalling the bolt, use your fingers and locktite....ask me how I know!

I know exactly what you mean with not being able to grab it. I found the easiest way was to undo the bolts on the transmission cross member on each side of the car and you can move it out of the way enough to get your hand up in there.

Just used a jack on both sides and blocked the trans up so it didn't move as I let it down. I loosened up the parking brake cable some too.
