Default Where to buy tubing and heim joints

Looking to build a spreader bar and latter some additional suspension
braces with heim joints. Where do you buy your Round tubing that
would be suitable for this projects, and what type of tubing could I
use safely?

The heim joints I have found at several on line sources, but would be
interested in where you shop.

Thanks for your help,

Riggs.

I'd stick with a source that has Aurora or NMB rod ends, and stay away from those with zerks. We've got all sorts of rescources for tubing and such here in Memphis, and suggest you should have plenty of luck in Columbus. FWIW, I've seen everything from aluminum to chrome moly used for Corvette suspension links...

I have a couple of links that I have saved for this very job. Its been a while since I have looked at either one though.

Day
Speedway

You may have to search around on both sites to get all the stuff and compare prices.

Thanks guy's for the info and the links.

Eddie, I think day motor sports is what I am looking for. I have been to
speedway motors I didn't see the tubing like I see at day motor sports.

Thanks for the links.

If anybody has any other info to share I'm all .

I know, I'm on a mission to get as much bang for my buck. The less I have to
spend on one item I can put towards the next item. Building a spreader bar
would only take a few minutes and less then 40 to 50 bucks to buy all the
parts plus I am looking forward to building a six link for the rear on the cheap.

I feel that the prices on most of the after market corvette parts are severely
over priced. I know their is research and development in these prices but I feel
that some after market parts aren't worth the inflated prices they carry.

If I can save money and build something cool at the same time I will do it every time.

You know the routine, if you build something cool, you must bring the pics to share with us. I just recently installed Van Steele's smart struts with the poly ends. I think I would like to revisit the ends and use the heims. When installing the struts I could see where the end links could be better.

No doubt, I will post pictures. I just placed an order with the day motor sports
site for the materials for the spreader bar, it only came to $43 plus shipping.
If all goes well and I can find the time I will do my own 6 link set up for the rear,
I bet I won't have over $200 in that.

Thanks again for the link.

Curious if you're doing this for drag racing or road handling (not that I'm asking you to share your maths if it's the latter). In any event, IMCO designing in some camber curve adjustability would be prudent if you don't spend all your time at the strip.

Skunk, I'm just setting the car up to be tighter than stock and to do some
Auto crossing hopefully if I can find some local events to run. I want to be
able to play in the back country roads with confidents and have a little
fun doing it.
