Need ID Help on Gen V 454 Crate Engine
What I want to know is the horsepower this engine came with.
Gen Motors Chevy crate engine
Here are the numbers and what I already know.
# on the front engine pad TO423XXA =
Tonawanda April 23 Crate Motor
On engine D133 = April 13th 1993
Block casting # 10114182 = 454 1991-up 4 bolt main GEN V
What I can't find:
Looks like suffix code on engine is CFD but I can not find the listing
giving this info for crate engines anywhere on the internet.
I would be very thankful for any help.

IIRC back then they had a rating of 230 HP for the base truck engine, and the 454 HO's were 425 HP..........does it have the oval or square port heads ? From what I have read recently, there were only 3 choices at that time, and the other one was a marine engine. Sorry I can't help any more than that.
