help for l82 hp

help from you experts out there i am in the process of rebuilding my l 82 79 vette ,the pistons are 30 over so i have to get new piston i guess 40 over i need advice on pistons cam manifold headers any help to possibly getting 325 to 350 hp thanks ps maybe do work on my heads or possibly other options.

Jegs and Summit both have 400 hp top-end kits for under $2000 (heads, intake & cam). That's 400 hp with open headers.

Newer heads and dual exhaust will get you close to 300 hp.

ditch those L82 smog heads. theyre not worth doing any work on them, prone to cracking. at least get some dart 180 iron eagles.

You shouldn't "guess" on what size pistons to use. They must match the bore and hone sizing done to the block before you rebuild it.
