Block #'s: 3970010 / VO426tBC
I'm looking at an engine that a guy says is from a 69 vette. He told me that the block numbers are 3970010 and VO426tBC on the front of the engine. Does this correspond to a 69 vette, and if so would that be 4 bolt main? Just googling 3970010 gives me a whole slew of different vehicles and it says 2 or 4 bolt.
Thanks
Thanks

Could be, but as you found out the casting was used in many different applications.
V=Assembly plant Flint
04= Assembly month April
26= Assembly day 26th
T= Motor division. I think this is Truck.
BC= Engine code which gives the intended application. (no BC codes used in Corvettes)
This site has lots of info.
