Default Wiper Park adjustment?

My 71 wipers and door works fine, the problem is the drivers side wiper needs to go down another 1/2" for the door to close all the way. I can push the wiper down the rest of the way. The wiper is keyed so I can't move the arm down but is there an adjustment where the wiper parks itself, or could the motor itself be worn?

Loosen the adjustment screws where the arms mount to the motor. place the drivers side wiper blade approx 1" BELOW the wiper blade stop at the bottom of the windshield. Tighten the adjustment screws and move the blade back on the windshield (above the blade stop)
This is what my assembly manual shows is the proper adjustment to assure the wipers park all the way. I think Wilcox has the diagram on their website also.
