Actually i've been wondering this myself. It's mostly older guys that come over to talk to me, usually saying they used to have one, smile, and walk away. Nice people, just I'd rather be meeting hot chicks who are into c3s :yesnod: :D

P.S. The rxn you will get from the gals is more subdued. Guys will run up to you, ask you what's in it. They will ask you to crank the engine & salivate while the engine is roaring. The gals may like the car, but will probably not be as agressive about the approach for obvious reasons. It's just that way with all cars. I have guys come up to me in the 850 all the time. I actually had a guy flag me over so he could check it out. He had always loved the car & never seen one. Can you imagine? I thought he wanted to fight & intead the guy is just going nuts over the car. My date last night said "what kind of car is this". I said "BMW 850 12 cylinder". She said "oh, that's nice" & kept on talking about whatever. You will get all kinds of rxns depending upon the level of understanding of the person viewing your car. Women just aren't as interested in cars as guys are. There are notable exceptions (yes, Jen - this means you!)

Really though, the guys do seem to check it out more for me too. My wife keeps walking the room so that's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Nah, I think an effort like yours will command respect from all but the most jack booted authorities. I have found that most cops(in my area anyway) take into consideration who they are dealing with and not so much what.
And in the case of "project insane asylum" it's obviously not owned and operated by some wanna be village vandle...... :cheers:

Both. Guys usually come over and asking me engine questions and what not while girls are like "cool car :)." It seems like people don't want to be caught looking at your car these days. I've noticed on more than one occasion out of the corner of my eye somebody checking out my car but when I turn to look at them they look away (maybe I'm just that ugly though :) ). Whenever I see someone driving a nice car I always let them know they are by waving to them.

Good point Mike. I think just as long as I take it easy & don't get past 1,000 rpm I should be fine :eek: Now if I get a cop with a woody to bust, there's not much I can do, he's gonna get me on something... Hopefully the cops over here will be cool about it like in your area. The neighbors may be another issue..

Everytime after my first pass down at the drag strip....I've had guys and gals come down to the pit area to get a better look at the car, and talk about what's running under the hood....the girls always have their cameras and want pictures next to the car, or sitting inside....especially nice since they only come out of the stands for restrooms and snacks....However, I also keep it in perspective....it's the car they've come to see....hard as it may be, I try to check my EGO at the door.....EGO=Edging God Out. :seeya Cappy

Pretty much guys only. One time does stand out though- 2 cuties in a car behind me on the highway started honking and yelling at me...until they got up along side & could see that my wife was in the car w/ me. They got real quiet all of a sudden as did the conversation in my car :eek: :eek: :eek:

While at Sears Point last year a gal w/ her boyfriend had an interesting comment as my car was parked...she said the curves were very sensuous, much like the curves of a woman laying on her side. That was a totally new perspective for me :D
