I just dropped the gas tank on my 76. Rubber fuel hose was shot. I decided to remove the fuel sender while I was at it and check the inside of tank. The bladder and fuel sock were in mint condition. My question is: Do the bolts that hold the sender assembly in place have rubber washers on them or is the rubber on some of them part of the bladder?

...from what I remember when I did my '75's back in '94, the rubber bladder's collar formed a gasket on the facing that the sending unit bolted to.

My 76 has an "O" ring on all the bolts. The bolts have a groove that the ring sits in.

I installed new o rings when I replaced the filter sock.

Thanks for the replys. By the way, I found where build sheet was attached but hardly anything left of it.
