I am running the open gasket on the Eddy performer intake. i have no idle mixture adjustment at all doesnt matter if the screws are in or out of the carb. What is the part number of the blocked off gasket that will fix this?
Just a couple of guesses, but do you have a cam that presents less than stock vacuum? You may have a power piston that's in flux due to the wrong piston spring.
Or, she could be idling on the transition slots if the primary throttle blades are too far open at idle. If you ever encouter dieseling (run-on), this is also a symptom. If you're running ported vacuum, a switch to a manifold source will increase your idle speed allowing you to adjust it down (close the TB's) at the carb which will prevent pulling fuel from the transition slots and get the carb to idle on the idle circuit.
Then you can make your idle mix adjustments.
