Default Reverse Lights

My reverse lights are not working, bulbs have been replaced, fuse checked, other than replacing the actual switch what could be wrong, all ideas welcome. Thanks

It could be the switch, it could be a bad ground, it could be a poor connection somewhere. Are you getting voltage to the bulbs when it's in reverse?

My car failed inspection last year. I didn't even know the lights weren't working. I took it home and looked underneath the car. The little rod that connects the switch at the tranny had come loose. A 10 cent retainer from the hardware store fixed it. I'm sure the geniuses at the shop would've have charged at least a hundred clams to fix it. Hope yours is as easy.
