It has been a while but I have been focused elsewhere as my Son LtCol Kevin Herrmann was killed on 6 Dec in the C-130 F-18 Mishap over the sea of Japan. Anyhow it was 10 degrees here on Monday and the car had been sitting for three weeks so I needed to get it moving. Of course it started right up, thank God for fuel injection. Just drove around the block a few times with the top speed of 30mph as the tires should not be out in this cold . It was good to get in it and the heater worked just fine.

My condolences. God love him.
Hope the car breaks up the day a bit.
Best.

Kevin, so very sorry to hear about your loss. Like you, I too spent 30+ years flying and barely gave a thought to the danger involved. Now that my son is doing the same thing it is constantly on my mind. I have to remind myself constantly that like us, he is doing what he loves.

May God bless you and your family in this difficult time and may your heart and soul find peace and comfort in the coming days.

Thank you I spent 27 trs in the USMC flying A-4M than Harriers, the thought of a midair while tanking was never thought of. Tell your son thanks for his service.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family......
Working on something is the best thing in my eyes to keep your mind off of it.......it was when my Father passed suddenly ten years ago.

Prayers,
Jebby

Many thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. I sold the car and was looking to find my sons 1990 Ford Mustang GT that he had for 13 yrs. I located it last night and the young man wants to sell. It had 190K when my son sold it in 2012 so everything needs to be replaced. We will see how it goes, I am thinking of putting the LS 427 in it like I had in this car.
