I am starting to put my interior back together. I was hoping someone could give me advice on working at the windshield support including the interior trim and the chrome trims before I have the windshield installed. I dont want to find out I missed something and the windshield would need to be removed once its in.
Thanks, Rodney
Hi Rodney,
At this point the 2 most important things are to make sure all the trim clips across the windshield header are in place and in good condition, AND!!, that the 2 large upper CORNER chrome plated trim pieces are in place.
Neither of these things are something you should be doing once the glass is back in place. Too much chance of damaging your new windshield.
After the glass is in you can follow the instructions in the AIM for the exterior stainless steel trim sequence, A-pillar weatherstrip installation, and interior soft trim installation.
Good Luck!

Alan
Thanks Alan, Also do you remember and thread about 1-2 years ago that someone posted that covered the total windshield installation with pics on every step. I saved it at the time but must have deleted it somewhere along the way. It was in great detail including pictures. It was a post that would be very helpful right about now.
Thanks
Rodney
Hi Rodney,
Yes I remember it.
In fact, I saw it again recently because someone posted a link to it as part of a recent windshield thread.

Alan
Hi Rodney
I just found it by searching 'windshield installaton' posts.
You'll see one of my posts with the link in it. It takes you to a page about a 69.
For some reason I can't copy the link?!?

Alan
