Qjet carb issue
HI,
I have a Rochester quadrajet # 7043193 I think it is off a Cadillac eldorado ( 500ci) my question is will it fit my 75 Corvette ( 350ci) L82 stick shift as my carb is shot I have the original cast iron intake manifold.Hopeing someone can help as I would imagine I would need to rejet the carb right? thanks

Yes. Basically, it is a rejet and rod deal. There are some other subtle issues that should be addressed (linkage connections, fuel line change, configure it for manual tranny if necessary, reset secondary air valve rate, mounting spacer/heat plate, etc.), but the carb will work fine on your engine.

Check your numbers again and post a pic if you have it.
Don't have the specific listing for that one, but it shows as a 2 barrel for a non GM application use like marine or school bus etc.
If it really is a 2bbl, then it won't fit the stock vette intake.

Another check would be the side bowl fuel inlet. Some Q-jets used a front bowl fuel inlet. It would still work on your car, but you would need to fabricate a new fuel line from the pump to the carb inlet.
