Tach and radio problem
Having some electrical issues with my '79. Just replaced the turnsignal switch assy in the column to correct inoperable t/s and hazard lights. They're both working fine now. The problem now is the tach is stuck at 7,000 rpm, the radio won't power up, the gauge and dome lights are out and the rear defog doesn't operate. Windows, locks, heater blower, and courtesy lights are all fine. All fuses look good. Could it be a bad connector on the T/S switch harness or should I look elsewhere?

Problem solved. Went back and cleaned all the fuses and terminals. Also cleaned the T/S switch connectors under the steering column. While I was at it I plugged in the old switch that I thought was bad, turns out it was fine just needed a clean connection.
