Default Sidepipes & Header Wrap

Just got my sweet thunder sidepipe inserts. Can anyone think of a reason I would'nt be able to wrap them with header wrap to keep the pipe tube from burning my or any pasengers legs?

Interesting idea! Perhaps you wouldn't be able to get the inserts in the pipes because the wrap makes them to thick? One could also wonder how long the wrap will hold up in such an environment.

I say: try it! And maybe I will too

I fail to see how that would work, it's not the hot gas going through the muffler insert that heats up the pipe on it's own

That isn't going to accomplish anything.
