Mike you need to go the other way. You need a steeper first gear. :smash: With a 2.20 first gear you need a 3.70 or 4.11 to get a good first ratio. Even with the overdrive you are only at 3.21 or 3.55. Can't see where this is helping any.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. They are using the first gear of the M21, so you'll need a 3.70 or so rear like Gordon suggested. There goes the benefit of your overdrive... It would drive just like a car with an M20

Good Point... I really didnt consider that. I was thinking they could be the best of both worlds.

So what do you say gordon.... feel like swapping out a trans with me today???? :D

BTW I did call... the cost will be in the 500 dollar range, and it should be out in the September, Oct time frame. Even though it might not work for me, it might be a great option for you guys running high gear rearends.

BTW, they were very nice and helpful on the phone. They seem like a great company to work with! I'm going to give them a shot when I decide which direction to go!

Gordon : Yeah - but I have a 3:08 rearend & it "would" help with gas mileage on the hwy. - However my performance would not benefit unless I wanted to go 150mph on the highway !
