76 vet won't start with key switch
Ok new to vets i have a 1976 auto that will not start, good battery 12.67 volts new starter, new ing. Switch power is good to big wire going to sol. But the small brown wire that goes to the s terminal has no voltage when switch is in the start postion any ideas? When i short across the starter it starts good but no switch start. Is it the neutral safety switch? And where is it is it under the console.
I'm no ace mechanic, but i have worked on cars for about 35 years this has got me stumped

It looks like you should have the purple wire to the "S" terminal.

I have no power on the purple wires when in start pos. and 0 ohms across the terminals on the neutral safety switch reguardless of shifter pos.
