Slop in motor mounts?
I'll try and get some pictures to show what I'm talking about, but:
I dropped my LS3/TKO600 combo onto my 1972 rolling chassis yesterday. For the swap, I went and bought new motor mounts from NAPA to bolt up to the LS adapter plate. Everything went smoothly (had to shim the motor mounts out slightly) but it seems that there is a LOT of toggle between the motor mount and the frame mount horn itself. At least a 1/4".
It's been a while since I pulled the original L48, so I don't remember if there was this much room there previously. Shouldn't the mounts be a tight fit to the frame horn?

Corvette Central just released OEM style mounts that will hopefully correct the problem of excess slop in the avalible motor mounts we now are dealing with. I;m having trouble finding them but a phone call should get you the correct parts. They just announced them in the last 2-3months.
