How tight on the lug nuts?
Putting the mags back on and decided to use the torque wrench.
75 manual says 60 - 80 pounds torque, steel wheels.
C4,5,6 says 100, mags i believe.
Is it 60-80 for steel rims? And 100 for mag wheels.
I have never used a torque wrench on the wheels, maybe its time to change.

I use 80 ft-lbs with aluminum or steel... Don't want to exceed the yield strength of the 7/16" lug bolts.
Later models don't use the same diameter of lug bolts.

Keep a eye on them lug nuts I had all of them come off on the drivers rear wheel and the wheel came off. I was lucky and didn't tear a fender off. Replaced all lug nuts and studs.

I learned the hard way in HS when a tire shop didn't tighten the Lugs properly on my 78 bronco. I took a turn and my back left wheel went the other way and I was riding on the frame and QP.
I always double check mine and others work now.

'75s only came with steel wheels so the owners manual would not show a spec for alloy wheels. Look in a '76 or up manual if you want to know ht GM recommended.

Agree keeping an eye on lug nuts, as strange things happen. Most modern cars with approx 1/2" studs are 100 ft/lbs. These can loosen, especially at road track event's, and why I take tools along. I've had studs break off during wheel removal, with a slight turn of the wrench. Stuff happens.
