Default A good Vintage Air installer in Tampa, FL.

Hi, anyone got a recommendation for a good Vintage Air A/C system installer in Tampa, FL area with a reasonable cost?, Its for a friends car that will be shipped from there soon and he would like to install a VA system before it left FL, one shop quoted him $1300 for the installation, I found that really steep!, I thought maybe 400-500 is reasonable. I know this job is really time consuming, but still $1300 is too much, what do you think?

I don't know any installers in Florida but thought I would offer this observation. There is a thread on this forum where I think it was the guy with VA that said the professional installers usually take from 20 to 25 hours to install their system. Doubt you'll get someone in the $400 to $500 range if that is true.

I'm in the middle of my install right now. I've got at least 20 hours on the interior alone and will start the under hood work this weekend. They call their system "SureFit". More like "make fit" to me at this point but I expect it will work well once completed.

Nothing in a C3 is true-fit. I stopped counting the hours it took to put mine in. Call/write VA and they'll recommend someone nearby.
