I just purchased a Holley Hi-Tek air filter and was wondering if it fit on a stock hood....

Since you have already made the purchase why dont you try it and see???

I did and initally it looks like it will be VERY VERY close. Without the air filters attached, there's about 1/2" clearance once the hood's closed (plumber's putty test) because it does extend past the cowl. I haven't attached the filters yet, but will try this weekend. I just thought if someone has had one, what did they encounter....? If it didn't fit, what tricks did they do to make it work....etc etc etc

Actually that is the first time I have seen an air filter of that style, but I'm sure there is someone here that has one also.
