Holley Spread Bore 68-72 air cleaners.
I recently purchased a 1969 Corvette with L46 350 4 Speed. The car needs alot of TLC.
The original Rochester carburetor was missing so I purchased a Holley 0-80555C Model 4175 650 CFM Spread Bore 4-Barrel Vacuum Secondary with Electric Choke. The orginal air cleaner does not fit the new carb.
I am trying to find an air cleaner that will fit the holley carb, with the ability to hook up the crankcase vent while providing the clearance for the hood. Does anyone have any suggestions on what aftermarket air cleaner will work with the aftermarket carb on my 69 Corvette?

The factory air cleaners hit on the vacuum module of the 4175. On my 73 I was able to use the factory air cleaner by using a thick ~1/4" air cleaner to carb gasket. Give it a try.

Using one of these on my '73 smallblock to keep the oem air cleaner on the Eddy AVS. Really nice, but 1/2" is the shortest available.

I know it's a little late for this advice, but when you start putting aftermarket stuff on, check with the manufacturer to see if they have any direct fit models. I have a '72 with base engine and when I replaced my Q-jet with a Holley many years ago, they recommended a #6772. It's a spreadbore with a double pumper. It was a direct bolt on. Linkage hooked right up, fuel line didn't need changing and the original air filter dropped right back on. I went with the double pumper because mine is a 4 speed.

If there is only slight interference problems, working the original base with a hammer and soft backing could get you the clearance you need to keep the original base.
