Please point me to the mini-starter / heat shield sources and tech tips I saw here once
I know I read here the best place to buy that mini-starter and rig the heat shield...there was a trick to it if I remember right. Please give me URL's or phone #s if possible. Can anybody help? :confused:

I think the best deal would be to hit the junkyards and try to find a GM ministarter; the type used on late model Chevy or GMC trucks with 454 engine. (I bought one, new, and it works great!)

I bought a mini-starter from JEG's, http://www.jegs.com/ it was about 155 and about 27 for the heat shield.
