Melting Slicks
Used to run 265/50R15s on all four corners long long ago.
Looked great but you may not like the ride.
They follow every crack and line in the road.
It's a pain to drive especially with manual steering.
And, they have a tendency to rub the frame and/or fender.

looking a moving down from my 275/60R15
I do this about every year.... LOL
My thinking is the shorter tire would give me another .1-.2ths in the 1/8th or 1/4 mile.

see my sig, I run 275's in the rear..
Also how much fender gap in the front did you have after swapping in the LS engine? I have #550 springs and it looks like a '60's gasser with the LS2 in there instead of the Big Block. Did you have to cut your coil springs?

good to know! now i don't feel like my car is special because it rubs the frame when making a hard left. mine follows every crack in the road too.
