1982 heater blower no worky & a search was done!
And what's odd is that I have 12 V at the connections at the fan, which should make it spin on high, & the fan is good by testing it with a dedicated 12V source, but the fan won't spin with the normal connections in place!
None of the answers I saw in my search tackled this one.
The relay works when I put the switch on high as I hear it click.
BTW, I had no high speed prior to this, & the resistor coils 'look' OK.
Suggestions?
Thanks!

I can't remember what my problem was, either no high speed or just high speed.
Anyway, I removed the relay, opened it up and lightly sanded the contacts.
Fixed!
Worth a try, even if it is clicking.

Thanks, but I guess you did not understand my post. I have 12V & ground, with the original connections, yet the fan does not work.
With a dedicated 12V & ground, it works.
Very odd.

"click" does Not mean working electrically,
"click" only means it received the signal, and mechanicaly it moved.
poor contacts can still result in relay fialure..

I mention the click to show that the speed swift inside works. And isn't the relay only for high? Still does not explain why I see 12 v at my 2 Sade connectors, yet the fan doesn't work.

Willcox has a great troubleshooting guide and diagram if i remember correctly. I had a similar problem and ended up replacing the relay and the switch to get everything to work correctly.

Here's an update.
Using the diagram from Willcox I found all voltages were present & with my electronics repair background it told me there was not enough current to drive the blower motor.
I bought a new relay & whala'!
Not only dis fan control return, so did high speed!
Thanks for all your input.
Now, does anyone know where to procure that black housing the relay mounts to that covers the harness connectors?
