'82 tilt/telescoping steering wheel problem
Will someone provide me with a clear diagram and explanation on the installation of the steering wheel mechanism. I have had mine off so long I have forgotten how to reassemble. I have all the parts; extension collar, steering wheel, spacer, telescopic lock, star screw, etc. I don't understand how the telescoping lock works (lever hole??). I suspect I will have a few issues with the horn button assembly also. If you have the time, I need the help.

Here is a paper on adjusting the telescope feature on a T&T steering wheel, lock, and horn parts.

Got it! Thanks for the diagram and link. It turns out I was not putting the spacer on before the Lever and the upper contact arm was not pushing down on the eyelet spring assembly. I am back on tract. Will finish up tomorrow. Thanks Jim.
