Did you ever think that possibly spacing the transmission away from the engine required an extended pilot pushing?

Never thought of that, didn't even know they made them. I wish I did, I would have installed one.

Never thought of that, didn't even know they made them. I wish I did, I would have installed one.
Speedway sells them (see link). I used one on my old pickup when I installed an Ansen Scattershield w/block saver plate.
