Mounted mine on the inner fender very close to the Pump. The hose is probably not more than 8" long. My reservoir is much shorter than Yours I made it myself. I would send a picture but its buried under a Turbocharger.
Generally one would mount it as close to the pump as possible, but there isn't any rules to how far away it can be.

I got my system for $999. But same issue, I need a reservoir and need to know where to mount it :/

I got my reservoir from Billet Specialties and plan to manufacture a bracket and mount it on the inner fender.

Tuff Stuff and Billet Specialties both offer reservoirs that mount directly to the pump.
I've been looking where others are mounting theirs when I attend any car show.
I've noticed most are mounting them on the inner fender or manufacture a bracket and mount them off the engine next to the alternator or off the ps pump bracket itself.
