what are stock L82 piston rings made out of?
I would assume they are plain cast iron piston rings (grey cast iron) correct?

for 1977, compression ring upper and lower: cast alloy iron with a wear resistant coating of molybdemun inlay, oil control rings: multi piece, rails-steel, spacer-alloy steel rails chrome plated.
