Default Front and rear supension kits

I'm in the process of rebuilding my front and rear suspension of my 1970 Stingray. I'm in the works of getting new trailing arms for the rear now and am interested in finding a fair priced, quality kit for the front and rear suspension.

The rear spring is sagging and the bushings need to be replaced throughout the car. The shocks are toast as well. Any suggestions? horror stories, success stories or recommendations?

The car is a small block, with a 4 speed, 350 horse. I'm not planning on racing, just street driving. I would however like a Vette that makes me confident in the corners or going down the highway at speed. I'll be keeping my eye out for deals as well. This is my first time tackling a corvette suspension

Thanks all.

My first `Vette too. I`m in the middle of doing the front on our 71. I`m happy to see "Made in USA" on the parts in the kit I got.
Kit included upper & lower ball joints, control arm bushings, inner & outer tie rod ends, sway bar mounting bolts, and idler arm for about $220

Hi Dustin,
Pehaps you might want to check out Bairs Corvettes.
They're located in western Pa. and handle front and rear suaspension parts .
I'd be VERY cautious replacing your rear, (or front), spring. New springs seem to often cause problems with getting the proper ride height.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

For parts I have always had great success with Paragon. I also know that here on the forum is Willcox, which I think gives discount to forum members. Good luck with your rebuild.

You need to make sure the kit you get has MOOG joints in it, most of the others are from china and are crap. New springs will change the ride height no matter what, it might take some tinkering to get it where you want it. There are a couple of vendor members on here, VBP is pretty good to work with

Thanks for all the great info. I'll shop around for a bit and try to make the right decision. I'll be sure to give a few places a call and get the run down on the kit they offer instead of ordering something on a whim.

If anyone else has any ideas, keep em comin!

Thanks
Dustin

I R&R'd these parts for front suspension a couple of months ago--new springs, all ball joints, control arms bushings, shocks, sway bar links, and left side wheel bearings. Springs, bushings, and ball joints were all MOOG, wheel bearings Timken. I used RockAuto.com and price was $475. 69 coupe 350, 4 speed.

I love Rockauto.com. I use them all the time, some times i can't believe the prices. I think most of my front Moog stuff is coming from them.

Keep it stock. The stock suspension will do exactly what you want it to do.
