Default 69 rear park brake cable @ lever attachment

spring over cable between ball end and rubber boot does this go between last guide and lever spring seems too long . looking for diagram none in assembly manual or haynes that shows actual spring location any help. wondering if was sent wrong cable or im having a brain fart !!!!!!!

Hook the ball in the lever, pull hard on the spring and place inside the last guide bracket. The springs puts pressure on the lever.
