Default AC compressor Clutch

Hard to find any manuals on these old a6 compressors. The one source I did find said there were internal threads on the clutch housing to thread a puller onto. Looking at mine, I see no threads. Do I need a special puller to get the pulley/clutch off or just one large enough to reach around the pulley?

Between jobs right now...have time to tinker

It's funny, the factory service manual for my 81 includes everything, AC comp overhaul, trans OH (both auto and manual), engine rebuild, rear end rebuild, everything and it's only about 2 inches thick. My Tahoe? That servcie manual is three volumes and about a foot high!!!

If you don't have one, get the factory service manual for your car. It'll have everything you need including a list of special tools for specific jobs.
