Yup. When jacking up my car today, the crossmember disk fell right off, causing the corssmember to drop a bit, and darn near causing a catastrophic car jacking accident.
The threads on the stud aren't stripped, though, it's the female end, on the car, that are stripped.
Is there a way to fix that? Something to fill it with, then retap, maybe? I have liquid metal filler, but that stuff doesn't seem like the way to go...and JB weld doesn't seem like a good choice, either...is there an official filler material to retap on steal?
