In my normal Job I deal with Nuts and Bolts from most of the Vendors in the Seattle area daily. Recently I found it odd just how hard it is to find Grade 8 9/16"NF x 10" or 12" bolts. Special order at best. Fastenal could order them in at $37.00 a bolt ! I found that VB&P had them in stock and in realistic prices was my best source. Just a note the C4 uses bolts that are 2" longer than the C3, they are Metric but everybody uses the same 9/16" when they get replaced.

Or....go with coil overs and eliminate the leaf.
The coil springs allow you dial in the height you want.
Just costs money.....that's all.

I didn't like how close the spring/bolt was to the rear tire after going with longer bolts so I pulled the spring and brought it to the spring shop and had them take some of the arch out of the spring so I could use shorter bolts (spring and bolt now fit inside the wheel). I had the spring rebuilt and added a leaf to increase spring rate while I had it at the shop. If I remember correctly I spent around $80.

If I recall correctly, the 4th gen Vettes used 10" bolts, ordered from Ecklers. Like the others mentioned, the end of the bolt ends up real close to the ground. Get a flat, and real ugly situation. I kept the nut above the sidewall level, and cut off the rest of the bolt. I also wonder, how important is it for the half shafts to be level? Mine are a bit out of level. Opinions on this? Thanks guys.

Right?? Shouldn't the metal sleeve be between the two center rubber bushings?
