Default Got the Twin Turbo 555" fired up in the car tonight!

Slowly moving ahead with this dude. The project itself is going well..no big drama so far...just not enough time to play with it!

Yesterday I finished up the hot side with all the down pipes hooked up and flowing out the mufflers. The turbo's got a set of DEI blankets, the floorboards got DEI heat shield barrier and the pipes from the headers to the turbos were wrapped with DEI header wrap. I wanted to fire it up to check for leaks before wrapping all the downpipes also. That will be next.

Still got to finish up whatever I'm going to do with the cold side. I think I did figure out an intercooler setup to go along with the Snow Methanol injection setup. That's next after the pipe wrap.....

Lots of little details left..but nothing terrible.

My ECU is back at Holley getting updates...so I'm running it on my old carb for now along with my old points distributor!

I got a video I'll upload later...but here's a pic so you can roughly see how they sit in there. Plenty of room and no mess all over the front of the motor!

Man...this thing is so tame sounding I'll be able to sneak into church parking lots on Sunday!

And they DO fit well! I have the left one in there at the perfect angle to clear clutch crosshaft, steering shaft etc. I'm thinking of stuffing a couple of air to water intercoolers right above them in the same pockets if I can make them fit.

Good to see you are making progress. The air to water intercoolers will be interesting. Where are you thinking about putting a tank and pump for the water?

The pumps are pretty easy to place anywhere..so that won't be too bad. If I can fit it all I plan to use a heat exchanger in front of radiator like new cars. A reservoir tank can go somewhere up there!! I can package that a lot easier than a huge air to air cooler. I keep looking at those articulating hood hinges that CoolC2 made for his car. Those would eliminate a lot of clearance issues when the hood opens as far as what can go in front of radiator.
