ps72

Helping a friend put new carpet in his 72. He's missing the retractor cover on the drivers side. He has no idea where he put it!
Talked to Corvette America & they said they don't have them.
Their part number 36798 sure looks like what we need but they say thats for under the body! Didn't think there was anything under the body.
Help appreciated.

I don't believe anyone repros the retractor covers.

When I baught my 72, it didn't have the covers either, I ended up getting them from someone in the 'parts for sale' section.

They come up on ebay regularly. The covers will be the same for 72, and 73. Found one - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Corvette-Ori...c7f454&vxp=mtr

Yes that's what goes under the floorpan and the seatbelt bolts through to it. (think of it as a giant washer)
